Pathfinders summon demons at GamesCon

GamesCon 2009

Pathfinder Society games went on non-stop during GamesCon 2009 in Manchester and not a single would-be Pathfinder was turned away. Especially "Angel", the beautiful mascot for GamesCon, who loomed over the table, 6'6" tall in her extremely high heels. Players looked a little intimidated by her presence but she was very welcome.

GamesCon 2009The latest adventures were run using the recently published Pathfinder rules which patches a few holes in D&D 3.5, streamlines play and makes the character classes much more fun to play. "The Devil You Know" parts One and Two ran on several tables and there were older scenarios for those who wanted to catch up on favourite adventures they had missed.

GamesCon 2009We were able to welcome a wide range of players to the Pathfinder Society Campaign, from complete newcomers to experienced Pathfinders, ex-4th edition players, and some father and sons. The pre-generated characters meant anyone could sit right down and play. Others chose to create a character from scratch. Everyone got a Pathfinder number so they could continue to play in the campaign.

GamesCon 2009GamesCon Roleplaying Organiser, Simon Roe said "Firstly, from me to you, a HUGE thank you for  your attendance and the games you ran. I definitely appreciate all the efforts you went to. Filling the room on Saturday was superb and you even got the Galatic Knights to join in. Thank you all for the time you gave and the journeys you made to do it. We appreciate it and I hope we will see you here again next year."

GamesCon 2009New player, Zumii said "I attended the Pathfinder role-play event Sat morning. I'm not sure if this is the right place to say it to those there who made me feel very welcome. I'd not previously played any form of role-playing, but thanks to a bunch of friendly folk and a very nice GM I had a great time."
