Grand Concocation and ghost Walk

Sorry, all tickets now sold. But we have a Waiting List in case of cancellations.

We invite you to share in our “little gem of a secret” in the heart of Birmingham. At the Pathfinder Grand Convocation this year we shall dine in a Victorian Masonic Hall whose 150 year history is interwoven with that of the city. Formerly a Jewish Synagogue, this Grade II Listed Building personifies those yester-years of Victorian times and has a few stories of its own to tell. We shall dine in the formal banqueting hall, punctuated by stories of its haunted past. The Masonic Banqueting Hall at 60 Severn Street, B1 1QG, is just 25 minutes walk from PaizoCon. (Or a taxi will cost you £6.)

Then our Heart of England ‘Blue Badge’ Guides will lead us out on to the streets of Birmingham to meet the ghosts, ghouls and spooks that haunt old Birmingham. Our walk will take us through the city’s past history, regaled by stories along the way of hunger riots, plague, public executions, mysterious happenings and murder most foul.

We pass through the theatre quarter, past the old Town Hall, alongside old pubs and into the graveyard of St Phillips Cathedral, then back via the back alleys and canal tow paths of historic Birmingham

The walk is rated easy to very easy walking. Wear sensible shoes.
