Conception 2015Lots of people were saying that this year's Conception was the best ever. It felt just a little less hectic and a bit more chilled than previous years. For Pathfinder players, that was partly down to the pre-event sign up on Warhorn which meant that many games could be guaranteed to have enough players to run and a sensible balance of characters. It was a first time trial for Warhorn at Conception and we would be interested to hear people's reactions.

Paul James did his usual efficient job of mustering tables and he managed to get all Pathfinder games seated in minutes and then place leftover players on viable games. I don't think any player was turned away. We are very grateful for his experience and skill at directing.

Our wonderful GMs deserve a huge vote of thanks. Reports are still coming in, but we believe that around 140 game slots of Pathfinder ran in the main building and in the many lodges. Matt Wrycraft and Steve Pennington were joint "Iron GMs" of Conception this year, each with a glorious 10-games through the event. Several GMs achieved new GM Star Status. Please let us know if you did so that we can update the web page. We were delighted to get some new GMs on board but we still need lots more so that we spread the GM'ing load. Please consider GM'ing next year. We will support you.

The Wyrd Sisters Kitchen

Any Pathfinder GMs who signed up to the "The Wyrd Sisters Kitchen" were supported with good hot food between every game. Harassed GMs and VOs even had their food delivered to the table when it was just too fraught to get away. Chris and Carol and their support staff were absolutely amazing. You may not know but they also raised a very substantial amount for charity.

We were delighted to welcome players and GMs from Europe and they generously ran games as well as coming to play. Some tables were multi-lingual with simultaneous translations! Gaël, Chris, Flavian, Francoise, Alexandre, Jennifer, Martin and Auke, you were amazing!

International tables

The final note of thanks goes to Mike Brock and Paizo for generously supporting the event with books, map packs, flip maps and goblins so that we could say "Thank you," to our hard working GMs and contribute to the charity raffle.
