Pathfinder at Fayre Times

Dwarven Forge"Tabletop" met "Re-enactment" at Fayre Times Festival in Billericay, Essex. This was a first run for this event and Pathfinder was represented by Dwarven Forge's Jens Loesel who set up a stall with scenery and live demos of Pathfinder Beginners Box Bash in 3D. On the next table, Luke from Age of Essence LARP Group was running a very lively Pathfinder tabletop game for all comers. He did a great job of recruiting complete newcomers to the game. The event was far from crowded and so Dwarven Forge joined forces with him and lent some scenery for his game. The combination was very effective. Luke, now in demon face-paint, enthralled his players with a desperate dungeon crawl that led right up to an encounter with the dragon. They were hooked.

Orc leader supports PathfinderFayre Times Festival attracted other colourful characters and our stand was graced with the presence of a holy pilgrim and the leader of the orcs. Meanwhile out on the field an archery contest, Morris Dancers, Viking battles and Devil Stick Pete strutted their stuff in full costume. This event is one to watch next year but it needs some more publicity to pull in more punters.
